Telescopic Handler Gold Card
Card isued by the Telescopic Handler Association of Australia (TSHA)
Course Fee:
$465 per person - All inclusive, nothing else to pay for 'Fork' attachment - standard attachment.

What is it?
Telescopic Handler (TSH) 'Gold Card' Licence is a nationally recognised, registered ticket issued to operators who have been successfully trained by TSHA Accredited Trainers in the safe use and operation of TSH.
This course is mapped to RIIHAN309F: Conduct Telescopic Materials Handler Operations.
This photo card is the preferred proof of competency demanded by most principle contractors.
Course Outline:
TSH's can have various attachments such as forks, crane jib/hook, bucket, basket or work platform.
In NSW, if the TSH you are operating has:
- a jib/hook attachment fitted and a lifting capacity of 3 tonnes and over OR
- is a slewing telehandler (regardless of any attachment fitted or lifting capacity)
you will require a High Risk Work Class CN or C2 Crane Licence.
These Class CN or C2 licences are not provided in this course.
(Such courses are usually 5 day courses and are not available at DAT Training)
Statement of Attainment:
The Telescopic Handler Association Australia (TSHA) has made provision to grant this at
an additional cost of $50.
The TSHA is partnered with Industry Compliant Training RTO#40825 for the issuing of the SOA.

Course Pre-requisites for TSH Gold Card:
Participants must be 18 years of age or over; able to speak and understand English;
able to understand technical concepts; and able to provide suitable photo identification such as Driver's Licence.
Course Duration:
Usually 1 day: i.e. 7 hours face to face plus breaks depending on previous knowledge, experience and class size.
Standard course is for Fork attachment.
Extra modules are available for TSH fitted with Bucket or Jib attachments. Please discuss when booking.
Course Outcome:
On conclusion of training, successful participants meeting the assessment criteria will be issued with an interim record of training valid for 30 days. This can be used to operate machinery until their Photo Gold Card licence is received, usually within 5-10 days after payment. Licences are issued by the Telescopic Handler Association of Australia (TSHA). Card is valid for 5 years. Cost to renew for a further 5 years is then $50.
