EWP Yellow Card
Card issued by Elevating Work Platform Association of Australia (EWPA)
COURSE FEE:
$355 PER PERSON - All inclusive, nothing else to pay
What is it?
The EWP Yellow Card/Operator Card is a registered ticket issued to operators who have been successfully trained by EWPA Accredited Trainers in the safe use and operation of various types of EWPs.
This photo card is nationally recognised and the one insisted on by most principle contractors
The course is mapped to RIIHAN301E Nationally Recognised Unit of Competence.
The EWP types trained for are listed on the ticket.
EWP Yellow Card is sufficient for all vertical & scissor lifts to any height but only covers Boom-type lifts which can reach up to 11m in height. See our courses for SafeWork NSW ( Over 11m Boom) licence if you require an over 11m Boom licence.
The four main EWP Types are:
1. VL: Vertical Lifts
2. SL: Scissor Lifts
3. BL: Self Propelled Boom
4. TL: Trailer Mounted Boom (Tow Around)
Course Outline:
Unlike many other companies, DAT Training can offer Yellow Card for all 4 types of EWP listed above in
the one training session. All four are usually included in the one low fee quoted.
There is also a Truck Mounted (TM) training module for operators who have their own truck mounted boom
and Transport (T) module available for those who transport EWP's.
Please ask about theses as such courses are organised 'on demand'.
Statement of Attainment:
The EWPA has made provision to grant this at an additional cost of $50.
Please advise whether you require the Statement of Attainment at time of confirming your booking.
Pre-requisites:
Participants must be able to speak and understand English.
The use of interpreters is not allowed, however, assistance with reading or writing English is allowed and is available.
Please let us know beforehand.
Participants must have ONE type of photo ID such as driver's licence.
Under 18's:
Minimum age is 16 years.
Participants under 18 years old can be issued a 'Restricted' Yellow Card to operate under direct supervision.
Course duration:
Usually around 6 hours face to face + breaks depending on previous knowledge and experience.
At Hexham venue, courses usually start at 7am, 15 minute break at 9am and we aim to finish by 1pm.
We take participants' photo while they are at the course.
Course outcome:
An interim 'Proof of Training' is issued on the day to successful participants.
This is valid for 30 days and can be used when operating machinery until participants receive their
photo Yellow Card Licence which is valid for 5 years. Cost is then $50 to renew for a further 5 years.
