TLILIC0003: SafeWork NSW Forklift Licence
High Risk Work - Class LF
COURSE FEES:
$605 + successful participants must also pay $84 direct to SafeWork NSW for 5 year licence fee.
What is it?
TLILIC0003: This course is a legal requirement for any person who wishes to operate a Forklift covering all forklifts from small, to large to huge!
It provides participants with a licence issued by SafeWork NSW.
DAT Training also offer Order Picking forklift licence courses, Class LO.
The Class LO is also mandatory for these operators. Same fees and duration as Class LF.
Course Outline:
To satisfy course requirements, participants are expected to complete written and practical assessment activities.
Course Pre-requisites:
Participants must be able to speak and understand English. The use of interpreters is not allowed, however, assistance with reading or writing English is allowed. Please let us know beforehand.
Participants must be over 18 years of age, be residents of NSW and provide a minimum 100 points for Evidence of Identification, as per below.
They must also have a Unique Student Indentifier (USI)
Course Duration:
Usually 3 days (Course may be shortened to 2 days for experienced operators. Please contact us to discuss).
Day 1 and 2 - Training and Assessment by RTO. Day 3 - SafeWork NSW Assessment.
When shortened to 2 days, Training/Assessment by RTO is 1.5 days, SafeWork NSW Assessment is .5 days.
Course Outcome:
An interim ticket valid for 60 days is issued by SafeWork NSW assessor on the last day of the course.
After the course, successful applicants must pay $84 directly to SafeWork NSW to get their photo licence.
This is done at any Post Office. They take a passport sized photograph and 100 points ID to the Post Office.
Note: Participants who do not pass the final assessment can return to be re-assessed.
However, they must wait 48 hours to elapse before they are eligible for re-assessment.
Re-assessment fees usually apply.

What to bring:
Pre-course study materials and other information may be sent to you upon registration for the course. If so, you must familiarise yourself with these documents prior to the course. You will also need to bring them along for training.
What to wear:
- Non-slip work shoes/ boots.
- Hard Hat, High Visibility vest or clothing
(if you don't have these items, don't worry, you can be loaned them on the day)
- Courses contain practical activities which are conducted outdoors. Bring wet weather gear in case it's needed.
- Bring your lunch and/or spare change. The site is visited daily by a lunch van with sandwiches, hot food and drinks.
Rules for Evidence of Identification: Combination of documents presented must show the following 4 items:
1. Photo
2. Signature
3. Current NSW Address
4. Date of Birth
All documents must be original, and unexpired (except passport which can be less than 2 years expired).
Certified copies cannot be accepted. No other documents can be accepted.
All documents must show your full name, not initials (except council rates).
Proof Of Identity Required For Assessment. (WorkCover NSW Requirements)
(A) Primary Documents (only one of these can be used)
(If you don't have a primary document, you are allowed to use a combination of secondary documents).

- 70 points for current Australian or International Passport,
- 70 points for Australian Birth Certificate, or birth card issued by Registrar of Birth Deaths and Marriages.

- (40 points) Australian Drivers Licence or Learner Driver's licence/permit.
- (40 points) Current Australian Boat Licence OR Firearms Licence OR Police or Defence ID Card. These MUST have photo
- (40 points) Current Australian issued NCOC photo licence (post 2006) or High Risk Work photo licence
- (40 points) Current Australian state or territory proof of age/photo card.
- (25 points) Motor Vehicle Registration or Insurance Documents.
- (25 points) Department Veterans Affairs Card.
- (25 Points) Centrelink Card.
- (25 points) Property (Council) rates notice.
- (25 points) Property Lease Agreements.
- (25 points) Home Insurance Documents.
- (25 points) A Utility Bill e.g Water, Gas, Electricity, Telephone.
- (25 points) Bank Statement OR Credit Card/Savings Account card.
- (25 points) Medicare Card.
